About WAFCA

WHO WE ARE

It was established in 1999 as part of a social contribution project to commemorate *DENSO Corporation’s 50th year anniversary.

We provide wheelchairs and educational programs and services for
children with disabilities and their families to live a life with
increased independence.

WAFCA’s project began in Thailand in partnership with WAFCA Thailand (WAFCAT) at the regional level, originally where DENSO established its first overseas manufacturing factory.

MISSION & VISION

MISSION STATEMENT

The United Nations (UN) Convention has affirmed that every person with disabilities should be respected for their inherent dignity with full and equal human rights and freedom.

However, approximately 15% of the world’s population is individuals with disabilities ? over one billion people, and 80% of whom currently reside in developing countries. Many children with disabilities in these countries still cannot receive adequate educational service as compared to other children.

To respond to their needs, WAFCA contributes to an inclusive and barrier-free society for children with disabilities by providing wheelchairs.

We also aim to provide rights-based educational support for childrenwith disabilities to be integrated into the main stream of society, and to have equal opportunities as with other children without disabilities.

WAFCA’s official logo shows two people facing with each other in a wheelchair, which describe the mission of WAFCA.
